Cloud Support Engineer (Migration) | DigitalOcean | Hyderabad, India

DigitalOcean is hiring a Cloud Support Engineer (Migration) to join their dynamic Technical Support environment. If you’re customer-focused, technically strong, and eager to grow in a fast-paced, collaborative setting — this role is for you!

Location: Hyderabad, India (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Full-time

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Provide top-tier support and solutions through tickets and emails.
• Maintain a strong desire to help customers with empathy and urgency.
• Collaborate in a 24/7 environment with rotating shifts (including nights and weekends).
• Monitor and respond to communications and alerts on Slack.
• Assist seniors and leads with daily reporting and process improvements.
• Ensure adherence to customer-facing SLAs and support KPIs (response time, CSAT, handle time).
• Manage site migrations from multiple hosting providers to the DigitalOcean platform.

Job Specifications:

• Strong knowledge of cloud environments like AWS, GCE, and DigitalOcean.
• Solid understanding of system and networking concepts and troubleshooting techniques.
• Hands-on experience with Linux distributions like Ubuntu, Debian, and CentOS.
• Good knowledge and experience with content management systems like WordPress, Magento, and Laravel.
• Proficiency with web servers like Apache and Nginx.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for ticket-based support.
• Working knowledge of databases like MySQL and MariaDB.
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
• Bonus: Programming knowledge in PHP, Bash, and Python.
• Ability to work under pressure in a 24x7 production environment.
• 2+ years of relevant experience with a BS/BE in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
