Role: Cloud Operations Engineer
Location: Hyderabad, India (Hybrid Model)
Experience Level: Mid-Level / Experienced

We are seeking a skilled Systems/Cloud Engineer with strong experience in Linux, networking, storage, and virtualization to ensure the reliability and performance of DigitalOcean’s global cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure maximum uptime for DigitalOcean’s global infrastructure.
• Automate processes and build operational tools to improve efficiency.
• Monitor and respond to cloud health incidents to minimize customer impact.
• Collaborate across teams to coordinate operational work with minimal disruption.
• Troubleshoot Linux OS, networking, and storage systems at scale.
• Investigate and resolve issues with virtualization and containerization technologies.
• Work on incident management and monitoring systems.
• Document troubleshooting steps, processes, and solutions for knowledge sharing.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience with Linux operating systems (system administration, upkeep, troubleshooting).
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VM deployment, troubleshooting).
• Knowledge of containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of IPv4 networking (equivalent to CCNA-level knowledge).
• Knowledge of basic storage technologies and troubleshooting.
• Experience with incident management and monitoring tools.
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python, Go) for automation.
• Exposure to GPU hardware, AI/ML workloads, and Kubernetes clusters is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and passion for documentation and open collaboration.
