Role Overview
DigitalOcean is seeking a highly motivated Cloud Support Engineer to troubleshoot complex technical issues, support container-based platforms, and collaborate with engineering teams to enhance cloud products. This role offers exposure to Managed Kubernetes, container services, production deployments, and large-scale infrastructure, making it ideal for professionals looking to grow in high-demand cloud careers.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Troubleshooting

• Resolve advanced technical support requests related to container products including Managed Kubernetes and Container Registry
• Diagnose infrastructure and deployment issues across cloud environments

Customer & Community Support

• Respond to technical queries through community forums
• Deliver exceptional customer experience by providing accurate and timely solutions

Documentation

• Contribute to internal documentation for operational excellence
• Develop external knowledge resources enabling customer self-service

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with product and engineering teams to improve tools, workflows, and platform capabilities
• Support new feature launches and product enhancements

Required Skills

• Experience troubleshooting Kubernetes issues involving pods, clusters, and master nodes
• Basic understanding of Docker Hub or similar container repositories
• Strong knowledge of kubectl, command-line utilities, and deployment tools
• Self-driven mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Strong commitment to continuous learning and technical growth

Preferred / Bonus Skills

• Experience deploying and troubleshooting applications in production using Kubernetes
• Programming experience in one or more languages
• Familiarity with databases such as MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, or MongoDB
