About the Role

The Associate Cloud Support Engineer will work closely with DigitalOcean’s AI/ML customers to deliver exceptional technical support, troubleshoot complex issues, and design optimal cloud solutions.

You will collaborate with engineering and operations teams to enhance customer experience and help shape the future of AI-driven cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert support for DigitalOcean and Paperspace AI/ML cloud environments.
• Resolve customer escalations and collaborate with Engineering teams.
• Support AI/ML workloads—from model deployment to scaling and monitoring.
• Design and document cloud infrastructure architecture.
• Conduct client demos and provide technical onboarding assistance.
• Contribute to internal and external technical documentation.
• Participate in Professional Services to help customers build AI/ML solutions.
• Identify trends, suggest improvements, and enhance product workflows.

Required Skills & Knowledge

• Strong Linux/Unix administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, routing, and switching.
• Familiarity with AI/ML tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Distributed Training.
• Proficiency in using tools like ssh, systemctl, journalctl, nvidia-smi, and Docker.
• Experience or exposure to cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, DigitalOcean).
• Strong communication and customer-handling skills.

Preferred Skills (Bonus)

• Cloud Certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Docker.
• Programming or scripting knowledge in Python, Bash, or Go.
• Understanding of virtualization (KVM, Xen) and database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis).

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
