Customer Success Engineer
Company: DigitalOcean
Location: Hyderabad, India (Hybrid Working)


Position Overview:

At DigitalOcean, we are looking for passionate and creative problem-solvers to join our Customer Success team. As a Customer Success Engineer, you will work closely with our largest business customers, solving their technical challenges and ensuring they can scale effectively on our platform. You will also have the chance to influence product decisions and help build the next great cloud company.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Support & Problem Solving:
    • Respond to customer technical and product queries through tickets, emails, chats, or phone calls.
    • Troubleshoot application and product issues to resolution.
  • Collaboration & Process Improvement:
    • Work collaboratively within a team to identify, communicate, and document process and policy improvements.
    • Help combat fraud and abuse on the platform.
  • Incident Management & Escalations:
    • Manage incidents and escalations effectively, ensuring customer issues are resolved swiftly.
  • Cloud Solution Architecture:
    • Help customers architect High Availability (HA) solutions for fast-growing and new businesses.

What We’ll Expect From You:

  • Technical Skills & Experience:
    • Strong background in cloud technology and Linux systems (Debian, Ubuntu, etc.).
    • Experience with virtualization technologies (KVM, Xen).
    • Proficient in working with databases like MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, or MongoDB.
    • Bonus: Kubernetes experience (troubleshooting pods, deployments, and control planes).
    • Bonus: Certifications such as RHCE, CKA, or CKAD.
  • Soft Skills & Attributes:
    • Strong analytical skills and ability to recognize patterns.
    • Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely.
    • Ability to balance multiple priorities and set appropriate expectations in a fast-paced environment.
