About the Role
DigitalOcean is looking for a Cloud Support Engineer who is passionate about customer advocacy, troubleshooting, and providing world-class support for its App Platform offering. This role involves working with technical support tickets, troubleshooting Node.js applications, Linux environments, and collaborating with product & engineering teams to enhance customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to technical customer support tickets in a timely manner.
• Troubleshoot Node.js applications, including database configurations, dependencies, environment variables, and debugging issues.
• Investigate and identify root causes of app failures, including server crashes, datacenter outages, and resource exhaustion.
• Collaborate with support, product, and engineering teams to resolve customer issues.
• Identify and document process and policy improvements.

What We’re Looking For

• Willingness to work night shifts (10:00 PM - 6:30 AM IST).
• Experience in configuring, debugging, and managing Node.js applications.
• Proficiency with Linux command-line operations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A passion for customer advocacy and technology.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.

Preferred Skills (Bonus Points!)

• Experience deploying and managing production-ready applications.
• Knowledge of 12-factor app methodology.
• Familiarity with CI/CD (Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery).
• Experience with scripting languages (Bash, PHP, Go, Python, Node.js).
• Contributions to Open Source projects.
• Knowledge of database engines (MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB).
