Role Overview

As a DevOps Engineer at Deutsche Bank, you will manage GCP cloud infrastructure, support CI/CD pipelines, monitor system health, and troubleshoot production workloads. You will work closely with product owners, architects, scrum masters, project managers, and development teams across multiple locations, adopting a continuous learning and improvement mindset.

This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience in cloud platforms, container orchestration, CI/CD tools, and enterprise production workloads.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud & Infrastructure

• Manage and support GCP cloud infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot cloud and network issues effectively.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of production systems.

CI/CD & Automation

• Maintain and update CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, TeamCity, GitHub, or GitHub runners.
• Implement task automation scripts using Terraform, Helm, and Shell (Python/.NET Core/Java is a plus).
• Collaborate with teams to optimize deployment workflows.

Containerization & Orchestration

• Work with Kubernetes (any flavor), Istio, and other container management tools (e.g., Consul, Nomad) in production environments.
• Support containerized applications and microservices deployments.

Collaboration & Agile Practices

• Work in a cross-functional, multi-language, multi-culture team.
• Communicate effectively with architects, product owners, scrum masters, and development teams.
• Adopt agile methodologies and a solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.

Monitoring & Incident Management

• Monitor system health and respond to incidents.
• Maintain high-quality operational standards under tight deadlines.
• Continuously improve processes and workflows.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Deep understanding of cloud platforms (preferably GCP) and enterprise production workloads.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, TeamCity, GitHub runners.
• Proficiency in Terraform, Helm, Shell scripting; Python/.NET Core/Java is a plus.
• Strong Kubernetes knowledge; experience with Istio or other container orchestration tools in production.
• Ability to troubleshoot cloud, network, and application issues.
• Fluent in English; German is optional.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
