Role Overview

Visa is hiring a Software Cloud Engineer (AWS) to design, implement, and evolve cloud-native applications, enterprise APIs, and secure AWS architectures that power Value Added Services across the organization.

This role focuses on AWS solution architecture, cloud security, DevOps automation, containerized applications, CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise software development, offering hands-on exposure to high-performance cloud systems and large-scale financial platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide AWS subject matter expertise across cloud-native application development and architecture
• Design, re-architect, and optimize AWS cloud solutions for scalability, security, and performance
• Implement cloud security best practices for applications, APIs, and data protection
• Develop and deploy enterprise-grade software solutions using modern cloud frameworks
• Build proof-of-concepts (POCs) and convert ideas into production-ready cloud products
• Work with Docker-based containerization and Kubernetes orchestration
• Develop and test REST and SOAP APIs using JSON and XML
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline automation using Jenkins, Maven, and Git-based workflows
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to deliver high-quality enterprise SaaS products
• Ensure zero-defect code, strong test coverage, and adherence to software quality SLAs

Required & Preferred Qualifications

• 1–2 years experience in software development, cloud engineering, or AWS DevOps
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
• Strong experience designing solution architectures on Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Solid understanding of cloud computing fundamentals, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and hybrid cloud models
• Hands-on experience with Spring, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and enterprise Java frameworks
• Proficiency in API development, microservices, and distributed systems
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, container orchestration, and cloud automation
• Working knowledge of CI/CD tools, Git, Jenkins, Maven, and DevOps best practices
• Ability to manage multiple projects, changing priorities, and enterprise delivery timelines
