Job Description

Join Visa’s Payment Digitization Platform as a passionate software engineer developing mission-critical Java/Java EE applications. You will contribute across the full software development lifecycle—concept, design, testing—and collaborate with business owners to understand requirements and implement REST-based services. This role requires working in Agile Scrum teams and delivering production-ready code with a strong focus on problem-solving and communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Design technical solutions based on business use cases
• Develop proofs of concept and evaluate technologies
• Create detailed design and use case documentation
• Collaborate with internal teams to solve complex technical challenges
• Analyze and improve existing solution architecture for performance and quality
• Adhere to and contribute towards best practices and standards
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to peers and stakeholders
• Incorporate Visa’s business vision and technology trends into solutions

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree OR 0-2 years relevant experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Hands-on experience with Java EE platform development
• Strong object-oriented design skills and adherence to SOLID principles
• Understanding of test-driven development
• Proactive problem-solving skills with urgency

• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (QA, architects, analysts)
• Skilled in estimating effort for projects
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
