Location: Bangalore, India
Type: Full-time (Hybrid)
Eligible Batch: 2023–2024 Pass-outs

The Opportunity
As a Software Engineer at Visa, you'll join a global product development team shaping the future of payment systems. You’ll tackle large-scale distributed systems, modern payment flows, and create scalable, secure backend solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable systems that influence Visa’s internal standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on design and development.
- Improve product quality through testing, automation, and scalable code.
- Contribute to global platforms in Payment Services, Real-Time Payments, and more.
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, and Agile cycles.
- Engage with product teams through on-call rotations and continuous improvements.
- Learn and integrate modern tools, including generative AI.
Essential Skills & Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
- 6 months to 1.6 years of experience.
- Strong in Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Kafka.
- Proficient in RDBMS (PostgreSQL, Oracle), REST, JSON, XML.
- Experience with automation tools (JUnit, Karate).
- Familiarity with Kafka, message queuing, and microservices.
- Understanding of software design patterns and architecture.
- Exposure to Big Data tools like Hadoop, Hive, Spark is a plus.
- Knowledge of DevOps tools (GIT, Jenkins, Sonar, Maven).
- Experience in Agile environments.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
