Job Overview
Synopsys is looking for an experienced Linux Systems Administrator to support its 24x7 production cloud environment. This role requires hands-on expertise in Linux administration, cloud infrastructure (primarily Azure), scripting, and monitoring tools to ensure the reliability and performance of the Synopsys Cloud.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, automate, and support Linux systems and services in a production environment.
• Collaborate with technical teams to develop and implement infrastructure solutions.
• Troubleshoot system issues and work towards root cause analysis.
• Maintain documentation for systems, configurations, standards, and procedures.
• Support the secure computing environment and ensure system availability.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Linux OS (Ubuntu, RHEL) including patching and administration.
• Scripting experience in Shell and Python.
• Proficiency in monitoring and logging tools.
• Linux System Administrator certification(s).
• Understanding of basic networking: TCP/IP, DNS, subnetting, routing.
• Familiarity with virtual networking for VMs and Azure cloud resources.
• Experience with remote desktop tools (VNC, Citrix Xen, VDI).
• Exposure to infrastructure services: Kickstart, NFS, DNS, DHCP.

Preferred Cloud Knowledge

• Azure VMs, NSGs, networking, and Blob Storage.
• Experience with customer support, incident resolution, and compliance standards.
