Team Overview

This is a great opportunity to become part of PowerSchool’s Cloud Operations Application Deployment and Decommission team. The Cloud Operations team works in a growing and fast-paced environment managing and supporting cloud-based products and infrastructure for the nation's leading education technology platform for K-12.

Responsibilities

A Cloud Operations Engineer is responsible for:

• Designing, deploying, managing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure and services.
• Ensuring availability, performance, and security of cloud-based applications and resources.
• Monitoring and responding to incidents and issues.

Technical Experience Required:

• 0-2 years of experience as an application support engineer in a cloud-hosted environment.
• Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux and Windows systems.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS).
• Experience managing service requests using ticketing tools like Salesforce, Jira, etc.

Skills Needed to Succeed:

• Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve application and instance issues.
• Ability to learn new technology in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated and collaborative within Cloud Operations and across functional groups.
• Proactively recommending improvements to processes, documentation, and tools.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• 1 year or less of relevant and related work experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have):

• Experience in RPA development or Power Automate.
• Proficiency in programming languages and scripting.
• Knowledge of database technologies (MySQL, MS SQL, Oracle).
