Internship Overview

As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) Intern at PhonePe, you will gain hands-on experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, Linux Administration, and Automation while supporting critical systems that scale to millions of transactions per day.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Linux/Unix administration and networking tasks.
• Work with MySQL databases, automation, and configuration management tools.
• Contribute to CI/CD, cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP), and open-source technologies.
• Assist with system reliability, security, and monitoring for always-available services.
• Implement automation using Perl, Golang, or Python scripting.
• Gain exposure to advanced technologies like KVM/QEMU virtualization, Aerospike (NoSQL), Galera clusters, OpenBSD, and data center activities.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure.

Preferred Skills

• Strong knowledge of Linux networking (IP, iptables, IPSec).
• Familiarity with SaltStack, Ansible, or equivalent automation tools.
• Understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Exposure to cloud-based deployments, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Enthusiasm for open-source technologies, cloud security, and reliability engineering.

• Final-year students or recent graduates in Computer Science, IT, or related fields.
• Strong passion for Cloud Engineering, DevOps, and FinTech Infrastructure.
