Job Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Linux Systems Engineer to join our ANZ Compute & Storage team.
This role is critical to the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of our Red Hat server infrastructure, ensuring performance, stability, and security.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor server infrastructure across on-premises and cloud.
• Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers in AWS / Google Cloud.
• Perform system updates, patch management, and security hardening.
• Troubleshoot OS, software, and network-related issues with development, DBA, and operations teams.
• Automate and script routine operational tasks for efficiency.
• Deploy and manage infrastructure as code (IaC).

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of hands-on experience as a Linux Systems Engineer (or similar role).
• Strong proficiency with Linux OS (RHEL, Ubuntu).
• Expertise in Bash / Python scripting.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

• Experience with Ansible or configuration management tools.
• Knowledge of virtualization and containerization (VMware, Docker).
• Exposure to cloud-native infrastructure practices.
