About the Role

Equifax is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Engineer with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) expertise to join our technology team. This is a career-defining opportunity to work with advanced cloud-native technologies and lead mission-critical infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage secure and scalable GCP infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Deploy and configure core GCP services such as GKE, Compute Engine, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Functions.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
• Ensure robust cloud security with IAM, encryption, and compliance practices.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure and applications, optimizing for performance and cost.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production and non-production issues.
• Collaborate with development teams on cloud-native application architecture.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident management.
• Maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure, configurations, and processes.
• Stay updated on GCP innovations and propose improvements accordingly.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience with C#, .NET Core, .NET Framework, MVC, Web API, Entity Framework, SQL Server.
• 3+ years of experience designing and deploying applications on cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
• Proficient in source control (Git), CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Strong skills in JavaScript and modern JS frameworks (preferably VueJS).
• Strong knowledge of microservices and serverless architecture.
• Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Google Cloud Certification
• UI development experience with HTML, JavaScript, Angular, Bootstrap
• Experience with Agile methodologies like Scrum or XP
• Familiarity with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, GitHub)
• Working knowledge of Python
• Strong team player with leadership and mentoring experience
