Job Description
Equifax is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our DevSecOps team. You will work on building and running large-scale, fault-tolerant systems, ensuring high reliability and performance. This role involves developing automation tools, troubleshooting system impairments, and collaborating with development and operations teams to maintain cost-effective and highly available systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Work in a DevSecOps environment, contributing to building and maintaining fault-tolerant systems.
• Assist in creating automation scripts for incident remediation.
• Support development and operations teams in enhancing system reliability.
• Monitor system performance, detect impairments, and resolve outages.
• Collaborate with cloud operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve system issues.

Required Skills & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience: Less than 2 years in software engineering, systems administration, database administration, or networking.
• Recent graduate with less than 1 year of experience developing or managing cloud-based software.
• Cloud Certification (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is strongly preferred.
• DevSecOps Knowledge: Basic understanding of operational practices and engineering principles.
• Operational Excellence: Ability to measure and monitor system reliability and improve processes.
• Systems Thinking: Basic knowledge of system integrations and availability factors.
• Technical Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Troubleshooting: Ability to analyze patterns, diagnose system issues, and assist in problem resolution.
