Role: Associate Technical Support Engineer

Location: Bangalore, India

About the Role

As an Associate Technical Support Engineer, you’ll be the first line of defense in supporting ChargePoint’s enterprise customers. You’ll handle technical troubleshooting, case resolution, and product support for EV charging stations—helping maintain a world-class network of sustainable transportation systems.

You’ll work closely with global teams to diagnose, debug, and resolve software and hardware issues while developing hands-on experience with EV charging technology and cloud platforms.


Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries via voice and email channels.
  • Troubleshoot and debug ChargePoint software and hardware.
  • Manage and resolve cases through a ticketing system, ensuring SLA adherence.
  • Research, document, and share technical solutions through Knowledge Management (KM).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive issue resolution.
  • Create or update knowledge base articles for internal and customer use.
  • Escalate complex cases to higher-level engineering teams when needed.

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong customer service and communication skills (voice support experience preferred).
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently and explain solutions clearly.
  • Team-oriented attitude, with a focus on collaboration and continuous learning.
  • Excellent time management and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
  • Proactive problem solver with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.

Preferred Skills

  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, M2M communications).
  • Exposure to cloud-based platforms and remote device management.
  • Familiarity with computer systems, mobile devices, and related technologies.
  • Additional certifications in Microsoft, Linux, or networking are a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
  • Willingness to work in European time zones as required.
