Job Description:
Caterpillar is hiring a Software Engineer with a strong focus on Security Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing. The role requires expertise in web, mobile, and API penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, and use of industry-standard tools and methodologies such as OWASP and CVSS.

Responsibilities:

• Perform vulnerability assessments based on OWASP standards
• Conduct Web, API, and Mobile (Android & iOS) penetration testing
• Score and report vulnerabilities using CVSS
• Evaluate application security based on business context and risk impact
• Demonstrate the ability to exploit and escalate security flaws
• Use Burp Suite and Postman for advanced testing
• Contribute to bug bounty programs and secure development initiatives

Desired Experience & Skills:

• Advanced understanding of API security (REST & SOAP)
• Strong hands-on with Burp Suite and extensions
• Proficient in Postman for API validation
• Familiar with Android & iOS mobile app security testing
• Exposure to Bug Bounty platforms and community
• Knowledge of security standards and manual testing tools

Preferred Certifications (Desirable):

• Burp Suite Certified
• OSWA (Offensive Security Web Assessor)
• OSWE (Offensive Security Web Expert)
• HTB Application Security Expert
• EWPTx (INE)
