Role Overview:
As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying front-end applications at scale. You’ll contribute to Caterpillar’s digital ecosystem, focused on business-critical and customer-facing applications with cutting-edge cloud, automation, and API technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently lead software development projects.
- Resolve complex technical issues and production incidents.
- Build scalable applications using Angular and modern JS frameworks.
- Participate in CI/CD, testing, and Agile practices.
- Perform integrated and customer acceptance testing.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product and engineering teams.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in software development (or 1+ year with Master’s).
- Strong experience with Angular for front-end development.
Preferred Skills:
- CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GoCD, Azure DevOps
- Cloud: AWS, Azure
- REST APIs, Swagger, Postman, API Gateway tools
- TDD/BDD with Selenium, Cucumber
- Databases: MongoDB, MySQL, Oracle, Redis, Elasticsearch
- Git-based version control and Agile methodologies
- Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
