Graduate Software Engineer – Open Source & Linux (Canonical Ubuntu)

Location: Home-based – Asia Pacific (Gurgaon, India)
Job Type: Full-Time | Remote-First Company

Role: Graduate Software Engineer (2024 & 2025 Intake)

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement high-performance Linux software solutions.
  • Contribute to open source projects across Python, Golang, Rust, C/C++, JavaScript, and Bash.
  • Work on firmware, kernel, drivers, containers, and compilers for Linux systems.
  • Develop AI/ML, IoT, and Cloud-based applications using Kubernetes and Distributed Systems.
  • Participate in global sprints (2–4 times per year) to align strategy, design, and execution.
  • Engage with open source communities via code reviews, issue tracking, and upstream contributions.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, or a related STEM field (Graduation: 2024 or 2025).
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Rust, C/C++, Golang, JavaScript, or Java.
  • Experience with Ubuntu/Linux distributions, open source projects, or cloud-native applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, academic excellence, and passion for Linux, Cloud Computing, and Open Source Development.
  • Bonus: Contributions to Debian, Fedora, Arch, Nix, or other Linux distributions.
