Job Description
American Express is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer I to join its team. The role involves root cause analysis, preventive maintenance, incident management, and collaboration with product engineering teams. Candidates should be skilled in cloud platforms, security, and automation tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct root cause analysis and resolve infrastructure issues.
- Develop and deploy preventative maintenance procedures.
- Contribute to Disaster Recovery Testing.
- Ensure quality documentation and reporting in Service Delivery.
- Collaborate with product engineering and integration teams.
- Participate in incident management and resolution.
- Work on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, OpenShift, or Oracle Cloud.
- Utilize containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Work with monitoring tools (ELK, Dynatrace, Splunk, Prometheus).
- Follow ITIL Service Operations processes.
- Engage in continuous service improvement and innovation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience in production/service delivery/operations support.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity, authentication, and cloud security.
- Hands-on experience in JSON, Java, HTML5, JavaScript, Unix Shell Scripting.
- Experience with application performance monitoring tools.
- Understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
