About the Role

As a Cloud Support Engineer, you will join Akamai’s best-in-class global technical support team to help customers solve complex technical challenges, ensure uptime, and optimize cloud performance.
You’ll collaborate with global brands, provide expert guidance, and act as a trusted technical advisor to strategic clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with internal cross-functional teams to resolve customer issues.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor for enterprise and media customers.
• Solve complex cloud infrastructure and networking problems.
• Manage support for Media, Web, and Enterprise customers to maintain seamless operations.
• Review and mitigate risk to minimize potential service disruptions.
• Mentor team members and promote best practices in cloud operations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in cloud support or technical engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux/Unix-like operating systems.
• Understanding of DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP, and other internet protocols.
• Proficiency in one or more scripting languages such as Python, Java, or Shell scripting.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and customer-facing communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with global teams in a remote work environment.

Compensation

Base Salary Range (US): $58,800 – $122,200 per year
Actual compensation depends on experience, skills, certifications, and location.
