Site Reliability Engineer – India (Remote)

Role: Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will contribute to the design, development, and automation of Linux-based platform services that power Akamai’s cloud infrastructure. This role is perfect for professionals passionate about DevOps, Cloud Reliability, and Infrastructure Automation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Build and automate Linux infrastructure and platform services.
  • Support critical services: DNS, PKI, Secure Access, Time Sync, Service Discovery, Observability.
  • Participate in incident response and reliability engineering practices.
  • Automate infrastructure with Python, Terraform, and Ansible/Salt.
  • Support OS upgrades, monitoring, and diagnostics.
  • Contribute to the build-out of Akamai’s public cloud.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 1–3 years of Linux System Engineering, DevOps, or SRE experience.
  • Hands-on Linux troubleshooting and administration.
  • Proficiency in Python scripting/programming.
  • Familiarity with Terraform, Ansible, or SaltStack.
  • Strong interest in automation, scalability, and reliability engineering.

🚨 Note: This role requires Linux expertise and an automation-first mindset. Without these, it will not be a fit.
