About the Team

The Zoho Cloud Operations Team manages and maintains mission-critical infrastructure across multiple data centers worldwide. The team ensures cloud security, server performance, and high availability of enterprise-grade services trusted by global businesses.

We are hiring a Cloud Operations Engineer / Linux Administrator to strengthen our world-class IT infrastructure.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers, hardware, and system software.
• Monitor server uptime, cloud applications, and IT infrastructure to ensure business continuity.
• Create and manage virtual machines using internal cloud management tools.
• Manage core infrastructure services including DNS, DHCP, NTP, Proxy Servers, and Load Balancers.
• Implement advanced cloud security measures to protect against cyber threats and ensure compliance.
• Automate server administration tasks using Bash/Python scripting for efficiency.
• Monitor and manage databases (RDBMS, NoSQL, Hadoop), ensuring quick resolution in case of failures.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for hardware, OS, and application-level issues.
• Conduct Disaster Recovery (DR) drills as per enterprise business continuity plans.
• Collaborate with Network, DevOps, Application, and Support Teams for troubleshooting performance issues.
• Work in a 24x7 rotational shift supporting global clients.

Required Skills

• 2–5 years of experience as a Linux System Administrator or Cloud Engineer.
• Strong expertise in Linux OS, cloud infrastructure, and virtualization.
• Hands-on knowledge of Apache, Nginx, and web servers.
• Experience with server provisioning, OS automation, and deployment.
• Familiarity with networking concepts: VLAN, NAT, ARP, Firewall, Switches.
• Understanding of infrastructure components like DNS, DHCP, Proxy, and NTP.
• Knowledge of Ansible, Puppet, or other automation tools.
• Skilled in Shell scripting / Python scripting.
• Understanding of SaaS infrastructure, RDBMS, NoSQL, Hadoop.
• Strong communication and coordination skills for cross-team collaboration.
• Ability to adapt in 24x7 global operations with enterprise clients.
