Workday is hiring a DevOps Engineer to build and operate resilient, scalable, and highly available infrastructure. This role involves working with cutting-edge technologies like Chef, Ansible, Docker, and Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) to support distributed systems and enterprise-scale applications.

About the Role

• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure and microservices.
• Manage distributed databases, key-value, and object storage systems in a SaaS environment.
• Automate deployment and operations using Chef, Ansible, or Puppet.
• Ensure system reliability, availability, and performance monitoring.
• Drive adoption of testing, CI/CD pipelines, and canary deployments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise cloud solutions.
• Participate in on-call support rotation for production services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Strong experience with Linux systems, networking, storage management, and concurrency.
• Expertise in at least one scripting language: Python, Ruby, or Bash.
• Hands-on with DevOps tools, CI/CD, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).
