Job Description:

Workday is hiring a Technical Support Engineer for its Workday Extend product team. This role focuses on supporting developers who use the Workday Extend platform to build applications, enhancing their experience through technical assistance, documentation, and proactive engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to developer queries via ticketing system and forums
  • Support developers with issues around REST/JSON, OAuth, XML, Java, JavaScript, Node.js, React, Ruby, or Python
  • Debug code issues using logs, stack traces, and developer tools
  • Write sample code and documentation for common developer use cases
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to improve platform UX
  • Help evolve internal support methodology and best practices
  • Represent the voice of developers to internal Workday product teams
  • Participate in community forums to grow developer self-service resources
  • Be part of a collaborative, people-first culture and have fun while doing it

Required Skills:

  • 3–5 years programming experience (REST, JSON, XML, Java, Node.js, etc.)
  • Hands-on debugging and troubleshooting skills
  • Familiarity with OAuth authentication flows
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Empathy and patience in dealing with customer-facing support
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
  • Ability to contribute to internal and external documentation

Work Mode & Flexibility:

Workday’s Flex Work model allows for a hybrid setup. You’ll spend at least 50% of your time each quarter collaborating in-office or with clients/partners. The rest can be remote, allowing you to tailor your work-life schedule effectively.
