About the Role

Wells Fargo is seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to low to moderately complex technology projects and initiatives. This role includes software development, deployments, system upgrades, and providing technical recommendations to improve service availability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in technology-related projects including installations, upgrades, and deployments.
• Design, code, test, debug, and document moderately complex projects.
• Analyze and resolve technical challenges with low to medium risk.
• Collaborate with peers and internal partners to solve technical issues and enhance the customer experience.
• Provide information and recommendations to technology stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with service level agreements, security, and policy standards.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in software engineering or equivalent (work, military, or education).

Desired Skills

• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
• Experience with Angular and Kafka.
• Solid understanding of Oracle and MongoDB.
• Familiarity with automation testing (Selenium, Karate).
• Experience with cloud platforms: Azure, GCP, PCF, or OpenShift.
• Hands-on with CI/CD tools and Agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of non-functional requirements and software design best practices.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to learn and contribute to AI and GenAI projects.

Job Expectations

• Understanding of public cloud infrastructure and app modernization.
• Lead and guide junior engineers, resolve escalated technical issues.
• Contribute to strategic planning and large-scale systems development.
