Job Description:

Virtusa is hiring a DevOps & Linux Infrastructure Engineer with deep Linux expertise and hands-on DevOps experience. This role will focus on debugging, system performance tuning, infrastructure upgrades, and managing CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Jira. You will also be responsible for GitHub Enterprise configuration, zero-downtime migrations, and infrastructure automation across RedHat/Ubuntu platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform kernel-level Linux debugging, system performance tuning, and upgrades
• Manage DevOps platforms: Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Artifactory, SonarQube, Crowd
• Lead infrastructure validation and server migrations (legacy → current RedHat/Ubuntu)
• Ensure SLAs during outages and restore services rapidly
• Support high-availability multi-node architectures with load balancing & auto-scaling
• Administer GitHub Enterprise for SCM and access control
• Validate hardware/software configurations of provisioned servers
• Implement Change Management across cross-functional teams
• Participate in incident response, RCA, and permanent fixes
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines (preferably Jenkins) for release cycles

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong experience in RedHat or Ubuntu system administration
• Proficiency in shell scripting and Linux command-line utilities
• Hands-on with Jenkins, Jira, Artifactory, GitHub Enterprise
• CI/CD pipeline design and maintenance experience
• Deep knowledge of virtualization, system performance, and IT security
• Understanding of HA (High Availability), load balancing, and auto-scaling strategies
• Familiar with enterprise-grade change management and incident processes
