Job Description:

Verizon is looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join the SOE platform team—an advanced, automated cloud platform serving multiple product and technology teams. You'll work with CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, AWS services, and DevSecOps strategies to enable secure, scalable, and reliable software delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage & enhance Verizon's SOE Cloud Platform for autonomy and security-first deployments.
• Implement CI/CD automation using Jenkins, Maven, Helm, and Kubernetes (EKS/GKE/AKS).
• Integrate observability and DevSecOps into CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot and optimize infrastructure performance, availability, and security.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and platform engineering teams to resolve build & deployment issues.
• Monitor application performance and execute disaster recovery strategies.
• Drive automation for microservice deployment and platform scalability.
• Lead documentation and architectural guidance.
• Own and implement DevOps best practices aligned with organizational goals.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 4+ years in DevOps, cloud platform engineering, or related fields.
• Hands-on with Git, Jenkins, Helm, Maven, Gradle, and Kubernetes.
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Shell, Python).
• Expertise in CI/CD orchestration and security tools integration.
• Cloud experience (especially AWS – EC2, EKS, VPC, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of monitoring, alerting, and infrastructure as code (IaC).
• Familiar with SVN, JIRA, and pipeline metrics tools.
• Excellent documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred (Bonus) Qualifications:

• AWS Solution Architect Associate Certification.
• Experience with multi-cloud strategies or container security.
• Familiarity with microservice architectures and observability tools.
