Job Description
Join the World Class Container Platform Team at Verizon to work on highly scalable Kubernetes-based platforms (EKS, OCP, OKE, GKE) as part of our Global Technology Solutions team. You will be responsible for programming and deploying feature sets into the Kubernetes platform using CI/CD pipelines and tools such as AWS, Jenkins, ArgoCD, and Terraform. This role offers hands-on experience in automation, platform deployment, and cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage Kubernetes platforms at scale for global operations.
- Work in Agile sprints to implement new services and automate deployments.
- Build and deploy Docker containers, Microservices, and Serverless functions.
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS, Jenkins, Terraform, GitLab, and ArgoCD.
- Automate and troubleshoot cloud platform deployments using Python, Shell Scripts, and Ansible.
- Enhance service mesh lifecycle management and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for platform optimization.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Expertise in SDLC and Agile Development.
- Experience in Full Stack Development using React/Node.js.
- Strong knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker.
- Hands-on with Python, Bash scripting, and Microservices.
- Experience with GitOps workflows and ArgoCD/Flux.
- Familiar with OWASP security rules, Fortify, SonarQube, and security vulnerabilities mitigation.
Bonus (Good to Have):
- Certifications like CKAD, CKA, CKS, Red Hat OpenShift Administrator.
- Experience with Terraform, Jenkins, Helm, and Service Mesh management.
- Exposure to Sysdig, Crowdstrike, Black Duck, Kiali, and Jaeger.
