About the Role: As a DevOps Engineer at Thomson Reuters, you will support the delivery, maintenance, and enhancement of production applications. You will analyze complex customer issues, collaborate with various teams, and proactively contribute to reducing incidents while driving improvements in application standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze high-complexity customer problems, identify resolution options, and take action to resolve issues within defined service levels.
  • Provide technical expertise in one or more technologies, serving as an escalation point for technical issues.
  • Innovate by suggesting technology and process improvements to reduce incidents and recovery times.
  • Collaborate with business, third-party vendors, developers, and technical operations teams to resolve application process issues.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for complex system/application problems and propose preventive measures.
  • Implement and test application changes to ensure behavior aligns with client and business needs.
  • Communicate issue statuses to customers and maintain updated ticketing systems.
  • Monitor and optimize production environments and applications.
  • Support tools for system monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to less experienced team members.
  • Manage multiple competing priorities and perform work outside regular hours as part of an on-call rotation.

Qualifications:

  • Required Skills:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
    • 2+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer/SRE or in a similar role.
    • Hands-on experience with Azure SQL, AKS clusters, Azure DevOps, Azure CLI, ADO Pipelines.
    • Proficiency in Bicep Deployments and GitHub Actions.
    • Experience with cloud services, infrastructure handling, and DevOps tools (Git, CI/CD, containerization, orchestration).
    • Scripting knowledge (Shell, PowerShell, Bash, YAML, Groovy).
    • Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible.
    • Experience with Linux/Windows infrastructure and networking.
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Experience working in Agile and Scrum environments.
