Role Overview

The Associate DevOps Engineer will play a key role in enhancing automation, streamlining CI/CD pipelines, and managing cloud infrastructure. This is an entry-level role for professionals passionate about DevOps, cloud solutions, and modern software deployment practices. You will work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to build and optimize systems for efficiency, reliability, and security.


Key Responsibilities

  • DevOps & Automation:

    • Enhance CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes within Azure.
    • Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM/Bicep templates and Azure DevOps pipelines.
    • Automate routine processes to improve operational efficiency.
  • Cloud & Containerization:

    • Manage and scale applications on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
    • Support containerization efforts using Docker and Kubernetes.
    • Implement and maintain monitoring/logging using Application Insights, Prometheus, and Grafana.
  • Security & Compliance:

    • Collaborate with the security team to enforce Azure security policies, access controls, and compliance measures.
  • Collaboration & Documentation:

    • Partner with development and operations teams to foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
    • Maintain clear documentation of infrastructure, configurations, and processes.

About You (Qualifications & Skills)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
  • Hands-on experience in DevOps or similar roles.
  • Strong scripting skills in PowerShell and Bash (Python is a plus).
  • Knowledge of Azure services, IaC (ARM/Bicep), AKS, and Azure DevOps.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and monitoring tools (App Insights, Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, automated testing, and deployments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Azure DevOps Engineer certification (or AWS DevOps equivalent).
  • Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Exposure to SonarQube for code quality analysis.
  • Understanding of agile/DevOps methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Azure Site Recovery and Azure Backup.
