Job Summary

As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, automating, and maintaining the bank’s cloud infrastructure. You will contribute to major technology initiatives, supporting applications across multiple business units while ensuring reliability, compliance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Infrastructure

• Implement the bank’s DevOps strategy, including automated provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure in AWS and Azure.
• Ensure alignment with security, governance, and compliance frameworks.

Processes

• Support the bank’s software delivery lifecycle with compliant release and deployment workflows.
• Integrate automation across CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms.

People & Collaboration

• Work with a diverse team of engineers to deliver sprint-based tasks.
• Prepare documentation, technical runbooks, and training material for internal teams.
• Conduct onboarding and training sessions to help application teams adopt DevOps practices.

Risk Management

• Understand and embed the bank’s risk management framework into cloud and DevOps solutions.
• Identify, escalate, and mitigate risks, ensuring secure and compliant operations.

Governance

• Support governance-related activities within software delivery and quality assurance frameworks.

Additional Responsibilities

• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot infrastructure issues.
• Ensure high availability, redundancy, and disaster recovery readiness.
• Stay updated on modern DevOps tools, technologies, and advancements.

Skills & Experience Required

• Experience in DevOps, SecOps, CI/CD pipelines, and source control systems like Git.
• Proficient in at least one programming language: Java, Node.js, or Python.
• Hands-on experience with Ansible, Puppet, or Helm.
• Strong foundation in Unix/Linux, Operating Systems, Bash or PowerShell scripting.
• Experience with Containers & Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Proven experience as an Infrastructure or DevOps Engineer in public cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
• Understanding of DevOps principles, IaC, CI/CD practices, and security fundamentals.
• Proficiency in scripting languages: Python, Shell, PowerShell, etc.
• Experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration systems.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong problem-solving abilities.
