About the Role

S&P Global is hiring an experienced DevOps Support Engineer to join the CETO-Solutions team, part of the Platform and Engineering group within the Market Intelligence (MI) division. This role focuses on cloud infrastructure, DevOps tools management, CI/CD automation, and production support for enterprise-scale platforms.

You will work with globally distributed teams, manage vendor-hosted DevOps tools, and drive automation to improve developer experience and operational efficiency.

Team Overview

The CETO-Solutions team manages and supports enterprise DevOps platforms used by developers across S&P Global, including:

The team acts as a centralized DevOps tools platform, enabling software development at scale across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide real-time production support during US business hours
• Troubleshoot and resolve client and internal issues efficiently
• Collaborate with US-based teams using tools like Splunk Observability and PagerDuty
• Manage incident tracking and documentation using ServiceNow (mySolutions)
• Automate repetitive operational and BAU processes
• Improve Developer Experience (DevEx) through process optimization
• Create, update, and maintain technical documentation in Confluence
• Manage infrastructure, handle escalations, and support vendor integrations

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3–5 years of experience in Cloud Computing and DevOps Engineering
• Willingness to work US shift timings
• Strong communication skills for global collaboration
• Hands-on experience with AWS deployments using Terraform or CloudFormation
• CI/CD pipeline development using:
  • GitLab
  • GitHub
  • Azure DevOps
  • TeamCity
• Strong Linux troubleshooting experience
• Automation and scripting skills using:
  • Python
  • Bash
  • PowerShell
• Experience with ITSM tools and ticketing systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• AWS Certification (Associate or higher) is a plus
