As an Associate, Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), you will collaborate with SREs, Product Owners, Software Engineers, and Data Engineers to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of Pfizer’s software systems. You will drive automation, CI/CD optimization, and infrastructure reliability, enabling operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver quality software and infrastructure within agile timelines.
• Execute SRE strategies ensuring high performance, scalability, and system reliability.
• Design secure, cost-effective systems aligned with business needs.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance and cost efficiency.
• Automate repetitive processes to enhance operational productivity.
• Enable cloud-native capabilities for the SDLC.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and monitoring solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on application development and enhancement.
• Maintain release and deployment knowledge databases.
• Continuously refine processes to reduce deployment time and improve reliability.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Technology Operations, Software Development, or similar.
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Platforms & Tools: Kubernetes/EKS, AWS EC2, EKS, EBS, EFS, S3, RDS, MSK, GitHub Actions.
  • Technologies (at least 3): Terraform, Docker, FluxCD/ArgoCD, Ansible, Prometheus/Grafana, ELK/ECK Stack, Dynatrace.
  • Programming in Bash + one other language (Java, JavaScript, C#, Python).
  • SQL & NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, DocumentDB, Neo4j).
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture & cloud computing.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in complex software deployment & defect resolution.
• Pharmaceutical industry exposure.
• Certifications: Kubernetes Administrator, AWS Solutions Architect.
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence.
• Knowledge of Agile (Scrum) & SAFe frameworks.
