Role Overview
NICE is seeking a passionate and technically skilled Associate Cloud Operations Support Engineer to join the Cloud Applications Support Team. This role is focused on ensuring performance, reliability, and uptime of business-critical cloud-hosted applications. Ideal for individuals with a strong problem-solving mindset and solid experience in technical support, scripting, and infrastructure operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform “eyes-on-glass” monitoring and alert response
• Troubleshoot complex, high-severity cloud-hosted application issues
• Maintain applications with patching and upgrades
• Build and improve proactive monitoring and alerting systems
• Participate in incident, change, and deployment management
• Automate tasks using Python, Ansible, or Perl
• Manage deployment scripts for environments like UAT and PROD
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Ops, Professional Services)
• Contribute to knowledge base and internal tooling
• Be flexible to work in 24x7 shifts, including on-call duties

Must-Have Skills

• Experience in Tier 2/3 application support
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with DevOps or Infrastructure Operations
• Good OS knowledge: Windows or Linux/Unix
• Database knowledge: SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Cassandra
• Middleware: Tomcat, WebLogic, WebSphere
• Networking and Load Balancers knowledge
• Scripting: Ansible, Python, Perl, Bash, PowerShell
• Monitoring tools: OpsGenie, Nagios, Rundeck

Preferred Skills

• AWS portal and cloud services experience
• Financial services domain exposure
• Experience configuring Grafana, Kibana dashboards
• Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Change Management)

Educational Requirements

• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field
