Role Overview:
As a Junior DevOps Engineer, you will support the design, deployment, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure powering a global cloud contact center platform used by thousands of enterprise customers worldwide. This role offers hands-on exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Terraform, Kubernetes, Argo CD, and GitLab CI/CD, working closely with senior DevOps engineers across India and Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the management and maintenance of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure, including compute, networking, and IAM services.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, reliability, and performance of cloud-based services.
• Contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of GitLab CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
• Work with Kubernetes, Argo CD, Argo Workflows, and Helm to enable deployment automation and orchestration.
• Write and maintain infrastructure automation scripts; Python scripting experience is highly valuable.
• Monitor system health and performance using observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK/EFK stacks.
• Collaborate with senior DevOps and platform engineers to troubleshoot infrastructure issues and implement DevOps best practices.
• Communicate effectively in English with globally distributed teams across India and Portugal, working primarily in IST time zone with overlap.

Required Qualifications:

• 1–2 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering (internships and project experience considered).
• Hands-on exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services including compute, networking, and identity management.
• Basic understanding of Kubernetes and container orchestration concepts.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and GitLab workflows.
• Strong foundation in Linux system administration and operating system fundamentals.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across global teams and time zones.
• Strong learning mindset and eagerness to grow in enterprise DevOps environments.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with Helm, Argo CD, or other GitOps and deployment automation tools.
• Familiarity with observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK.
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or similar tools.
