Role Overview

Miratech is hiring a Junior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support and enhance OpenStack-based private cloud platforms running in on-premises data centers. This role provides hands-on exposure to production-grade, mission-critical, multi-tenant cloud environments, working closely with senior platform and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams.

This position is ideal for engineers looking to build a strong career in Cloud Infrastructure, Private Cloud, Kubernetes, Linux Systems, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

Key Responsibilities

• Support multi-tenant OpenStack private cloud environments in on-premises data centers
• Assist with provisioning and maintenance of Ubuntu KVM hypervisors, OpenStack services, and Kubernetes clusters
• Collaborate with senior engineers on compute, storage, and networking infrastructure
• Implement and enhance Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using:
  • Ansible
  • Terraform
  • Pulumi
• Support CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure changes, upgrades, patching, validation, and rollback
• Monitor system health using Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and observability tools
• Participate in incident response, troubleshooting Linux, virtualization, storage, and networking issues
• Support high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) practices
• Join on-call rotations with guidance and contribute to post-incident reviews
• Work closely with global platform, SRE, and operations teams to improve reliability and scalability

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in infrastructure operations, data centers, or private cloud environments
• Hands-on experience with:
  • OpenStack
  • Ubuntu-based KVM virtualization
• Exposure to Kubernetes infrastructure operations (cluster-level experience preferred)
• Working knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code tools:
  • Ansible
  • Terraform
  • Pulumi
• Strong Linux administration skills (Ubuntu, RHEL, CentOS)
• Basic scripting skills in Bash or Python
• Familiarity with Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and automation practices
• Understanding of:
  • Hypervisors (KVM, VMware vSphere)
  • Software-defined storage (Ceph, iSCSI, NFS)
  • Data center networking fundamentals (L2/L3, routing, load balancing)
• Ability to work in 24×7 production environments and participate in on-call schedules

• Experience with Cisco UCS or similar enterprise server platforms
• Exposure to software-defined storage solutions
• Experience with high-availability or multi-region OpenStack clusters
• Background in telecom, edge cloud, or large enterprise infrastructure environments
