Role Overview

Miratech is seeking a Junior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to implement and support a community-driven OpenStack-based private cloud infrastructure. This role blends cloud engineering, data center operations, Linux administration, and Infrastructure-as-Code, offering hands-on exposure to mission-critical production environments.

You will collaborate with senior engineers to enhance scalability, resilience, automation, and performance across multi-tenant cloud platforms while gaining mentorship from experienced platform and SRE teams.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure & Operations

• Support multi-tenant OpenStack private cloud environments in on-premises data centers.
• Provision, configure, and maintain Ubuntu KVM hypervisors, OpenStack services, and Kubernetes clusters.
• Assist in managing compute, storage, and networking infrastructure.

Automation & DevOps Practices

• Contribute to Infrastructure-as-Code using Ansible, Terraform, or Pulumi.
• Support CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure upgrades, patching, validation, and rollback.
• Improve lifecycle management through automation.

Monitoring & Reliability

• Monitor infrastructure using Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and observability tools.
• Participate in incident response and troubleshoot Linux, virtualization, storage, and networking issues.
• Assist with high availability and disaster recovery strategies.

Collaboration

• Work with global platform, SRE, and operations teams to improve reliability.
• Join on-call rotations under guidance and contribute to post-incident reviews.
• Maintain documentation and operational best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on infrastructure operations experience in data center or private cloud environments.
• Practical experience with OpenStack and Ubuntu-based KVM virtualization.
• Exposure to Kubernetes cluster operations.
• Working knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Ansible, Terraform, Pulumi).
• Strong Linux administration skills (Ubuntu, RHEL, CentOS) with Bash or Python scripting.
• Familiarity with Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and automation concepts.
• Understanding of:
  • Hypervisors (KVM, VMware vSphere)
  • Software-defined storage (Ceph, iSCSI, NFS)
  • Data center networking (L2/L3, routing, load balancing)
• Ability to work in 24×7 production environments.

• Experience with Cisco UCS or similar server hardware.
• Familiarity with software-defined storage solutions.
• Experience supporting high-availability or multi-region OpenStack clusters.
• Background in telco, edge cloud, or enterprise infrastructure environments.
