Role Overview

Miamin Systems is looking for a DevOps Engineer with strong foundational experience in Linux systems, cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and cloud automation. This role offers hands-on exposure to AWS DevOps, Azure Cloud Engineering, Kubernetes operations, Infrastructure as Code, and enterprise deployment pipelines.

You will collaborate with software developers, QA teams, and cloud operations engineers to improve deployment reliability, system scalability, cloud security, and production stability.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
• Automate infrastructure and configuration management using Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
• Deploy, monitor, and support applications on AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Maintain and optimize Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration environments
• Troubleshoot production and staging environment issues to ensure high availability systems
• Support version control workflows, build automation, and test pipelines
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve cloud automation, deployment efficiency, and system reliability
• Monitor system health, performance, and alerts using Prometheus, Grafana, and cloud monitoring tools
• Assist with cloud security, infrastructure optimization, and operational best practices

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of Linux / Unix systems administration
• Hands-on experience (projects or internships) with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions
• Basic experience with AWS Cloud, Azure Cloud, or Google Cloud Platform
• Knowledge of Docker containerization (mandatory) and Kubernetes (preferred)
• Familiarity with Python, Bash, or Shell scripting
• Understanding of networking concepts including DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and VPNs
• Experience with Git-based version control systems

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability platforms
• Understanding of microservices architecture and cloud-native design
• Knowledge of Agile and DevOps methodologies

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
