Role Overview

As part of the Managed Cloud Optimization (MCO) Team, you’ll work with some of the largest cloud users in the world. This role involves solving critical outages, designing cloud workloads, and building automation for highly available systems.

You’ll work with Google Cloud technologies (GKE, Anthos, BigQuery, Data Pipelines) and industry-leading tools like Prometheus and Datadog.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure near-zero downtime with monitoring, alerting, and automation.
• Build highly automated, scalable systems using SRE/DevOps principles.
• Advise clients on DevOps, SRE, HA, SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs.
• Anticipate failures, automate operations, and improve customer experience.
• Work closely with clients, internal teams, and Google engineers.
• Troubleshoot issues spanning systems, networking, and code.
• Participate in documentation, open-sourcing, and process improvements.

Requirements

• 3+ years of cloud & infrastructure experience (Linux, Windows, Kubernetes, databases, networking).
• 2+ years of Google Cloud experience (certifications preferred).
• Strong programming in Python (other languages a plus).
• Expertise in Terraform for provisioning & configuration.
• Hands-on with 24x7 monitoring, incident response, and on-call support.
• Experience with SLIs, SLOs, SLAs, error budgets.
• Strong communication & client-facing skills.
• Familiarity with Agile (Scrum/Kanban) methodologies.
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
