About the Role:
Empower Personal Wealth is hiring a DevOps Engineer to design, build, and operate AWS-native cloud infrastructure. The role involves automation-first infrastructure management, CI/CD pipeline development, and cloud architecture optimization. Candidates will gain exposure to large-scale financial services platforms and modern DevOps practices.

This is a high-impact role that balances short-term delivery priorities with long-term architectural goals, providing hands-on experience with cloud automation, security, and reliability engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Automate AWS infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, AWS CDK, and CloudFormation
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Java and Python applications
• Optimize operational efficiency, cost, and reliability through automation
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve deployment consistency and developer experience
• Implement security best practices across AWS environments (IAM, networking, data protection)
• Monitor and optimize system and application performance with AWS CloudWatch, ECS/EKS, Lambda, and QuickSight
• Support production systems as part of on-call rotation
• Continuously evaluate emerging DevOps technologies for process improvement

Required Skills:

• Strong AWS experience: EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, ECS/EKS
• CI/CD tooling experience: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline
• Proficiency in Python and/or Java for automation and service integration
• Linux systems administration and shell scripting
• Understanding of cloud architecture, networking, and security fundamentals

Preferred Skills:

• Docker and Kubernetes orchestration, including EKS
• Monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, Splunk, CloudWatch
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (Postgres, DynamoDB, Redshift)
• Automated security and compliance controls in AWS
• Exposure to AI platforms such as ChatGPT for automation
