🚀 About the Role:

As an Embedded Java Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain Java-based firmware solutions for embedded systems. You’ll focus on the interaction between software and hardware, ensuring scalable, efficient, and maintainable embedded software solutions.

🛠 Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Java-based embedded firmware using Agile methodologies
• Collaborate with hardware and systems engineering teams for smooth integration
• Implement and optimize low-level hardware interactions (e.g., sensors, actuators)
• Apply real-time operating system (RTOS) concepts to meet performance requirements
• Write unit and functional tests using test-driven development (TDD)
• Debug and resolve hardware/firmware interaction issues using diagnostic tools

🎓 Education Qualifications:

• BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Certifications or coursework in embedded systems development is a plus

📋 Minimum Requirements:

• Strong Java programming skills with experience in embedded Java applications
• Experience with embedded Linux or RTOS environments
• Familiarity with hardware interfaces and communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, GPIO, CAN)
• Proficiency in Java-based memory management and optimization
• Experience with TDD and unit/functional testing
• Knowledge of HAL and writing device drivers in Java
• Familiarity with Gradle, Maven, or other build systems for embedded projects
• Experience with debugging tools like JTAG, oscilloscopes, and Linux-based tools
• Agile/Scrum development process experience
