Job Description

Calix is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer I (SRE) to join its Cloud Platform Engineering team in Bangalore. This opportunity is ideal for engineers passionate about Cloud Computing, Kubernetes, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), DevOps Automation, Linux Systems, Networking, and Production Operations.

As an SRE, you will help build, operate, and optimize highly available cloud platforms running on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will work with modern cloud-native technologies including Kubernetes (GKE), ArgoCD, GitOps workflows, Grafana Labs observability tools, AI-driven operations (AIOps), and infrastructure automation to ensure mission-critical services remain reliable, secure, and scalable.

This role provides excellent exposure to cloud operations, production engineering, infrastructure automation, distributed systems, incident management, and enterprise-scale platform reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Site Reliability Engineering

  • Maintain highly available production cloud platforms
  • Improve platform reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency
  • Support production workloads running on Kubernetes

GitOps & Continuous Deployment

  • Deploy applications using GitOps methodologies

Google Cloud Platform Operations

  • Diagnose DNS, HTTP, HTTPS, TCP/IP, SSL/TLS, and routing issues
