Job Description:
Amgen is hiring an Associate Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data solutions that drive business insights. The candidate will work with large datasets, cloud platforms (AWS preferred), and big data technologies to develop ETL pipelines, ensure data quality, and support data governance initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration solutions.
• Design and implement data models and documentation for accuracy and consistency.
• Ensure data security, privacy, and governance compliance.
• Utilize Databricks, Apache Spark (PySpark, SparkSQL), AWS, and Redshift for data processing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights.
• Optimize data pipeline performance and explore new tools.
• Follow best practices in coding, testing, and infrastructure-as-code.

Requirements:

• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in SQL, data analysis tools, and data visualization.
• Hands-on experience with big data technologies (Databricks, Apache Spark, AWS, Redshift).
• Experience with ETL tools, workflow orchestration, and performance tuning.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of data modeling, warehousing, and graph databases.
• Experience with Python, SageMaker, and cloud data platforms.
• AWS Certified Data Engineer or Databricks certification preferred.
