About the Role

As a CloudOps Engineer, you’ll be part of a team driving performance optimization, automation, and reliability for Amgen’s cloud infrastructure. This is a mission-critical role to support scalability, resilience, and cost-efficiency across Amgen’s platforms.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of infrastructure and applications.
• Optimize system design and usage to reduce costs without compromising availability.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or Kubernetes.
• Drive automation and adopt industry-standard tools to streamline operations.
• Lead monitoring, alerting, and incident response efforts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed SRE principles throughout the SDLC.
• Execute capacity planning and maintain disaster recovery strategies.

Must-Have Skills

• Experience with AWS Cloud Services
• Proficiency in CI/CD, IaC, GitOps, and observability tools
• Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes
• Quick learner with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience in multi-cloud cost optimization
• Understanding of distributed systems and large-scale architecture
• Databricks exposure is a plus

---

Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 1–4 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 1 year in Site Reliability Engineering
