Role Summary

The Associate Cloud Support Engineer provides technical support, troubleshooting, and operational excellence for Akamai’s global customers. You will play a key role in customer-facing support, providing solutions for complex technical and business challenges while ensuring global service reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide customer-focused support via chat to address technical and business inquiries.
• Investigate and resolve content piracy, security, and network issues across Akamai-hosted services.
• Analyze account queries, network performance, and technical issues across Akamai’s distributed platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce incidents and improve system reliability.
• Lead investigations into global network performance, identifying root causes and proposing preventive solutions.
• Document resolutions, share knowledge, and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
• Prioritize workload and communicate technical issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: 6 months to 2 years in technical support or cloud support roles.
• Education: Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
• Technical Knowledge:
  • Fundamental understanding of the Internet, DNS, TCP/IP, TTP/S protocols.
  • Basic proficiency in Linux/Unix systems.
  • Experience providing technical solutions & support to B2B customers.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
