About the Role

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you'll design and maintain tools that monitor and improve the reliability of Akamai’s Compute products. This includes collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure scalability, observability, and automation across platforms.

Responsibilities

• Maintain observability platform and internal tools
• Improve system reliability, scalability, and usability
• Guide developers on best practices for performance
• Automate monitoring, error detection, and remediation
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident management

---

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or SysAdmin roles
• Proficient in scripting languages (Python, Bash, Go, Rust)
• Experience with tools like Terraform, Pulumi
• Familiarity with observability platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, New Relic)
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes/Nomad
