Job Description:

Akamai is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer II to join its highly skilled Compute Site Reliability team. This remote opportunity offers you the chance to work on distributed systems and observability tools that support global content delivery and compute services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide operational support for complex distributed applications
• Develop software and automation to enhance reliability and performance
• Deploy and maintain observability platforms and internal tools
• Work cross-functionally to ensure service scalability and stability
• Guide engineers to ensure their services meet reliability standards
• Troubleshoot incidents across infrastructure, code, and configuration

Required Skills & Experience:

• 2+ years in a Site Reliability, DevOps, or Systems Engineering role
• Strong understanding of large-scale distributed systems
• Proficient in programming/scripting: Python, Bash, Go, or Rust
• Hands-on experience with Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
• Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, SaltStack)
