Responsibilities:

• Lead efforts in performance tuning, resource trending, and capacity planning of infrastructure through automation tools like Grafana, Logstash, and Prometheus.
• Mentor and train teams to provide best practices in Site Reliability and set up KPIs.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance middleware technologies.
• Serve as escalation point for app support and system engineering teams.
• Identify opportunities for automation, simplifying ad-hoc and daily tasks.
• Influence ongoing design, architecture, standards, and operating methods for services and systems.
• Experiment with new technologies and tools, driving their adoption.
• Participate in service capacity planning, demand forecasting, software performance analysis, and system tuning.
• Drive reliability and supportability aspects of Cloud service, including change management, triage of escalations, remediation plans, and DevOps automations.

Requirements:

• Expertise in Kubernetes and middleware technologies like Redis, Memcached, and Couchbase.
• Experience with J2EE application servers (Tomcat, JBoss), Active MQ, Zookeeper, Lucene, Solr, and messaging technologies (ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, Kafka).
• Proficiency in Python, PHP, Perl, or Ruby for operations scripting.
• Solid understanding of Linux/UNIX, TCP/IP networking, load balancing, and content delivery networks.
• Experience with scaling RDBMS and NoSQL databases like Solr, Lucene, and Redis.
• Expertise in configuring and maintaining common applications (Apache, Tomcat, Nginx, LDAP, etc.).
• Knowledge of APM tools like AppDynamics, Graylog, Dynatrace, Datadog for proactive monitoring alerts.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills for large-scale infrastructure issues.
• Experience in cloud and data center operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Deep knowledge of MQ and Redis.
• Experience with big data systems and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with distributed-shared file systems.
